Classification of the IK Operational Projects & Activities
1. Agricultural Operations
- Dry land agriculture of traditional grains and other crops such as cassava, etc.
- Horticulture activities including vegetable, fruits, and high value crops such as ginger, turmeric and garlic.
- Livestock production such as poultry focusing on free ranch chicken, guinea fowls, ducks, gueese, peacock, rabbits, goats, etc.
- Production of organic manure and regeneration of the soil using vermicompost. Conservation or regenerative agriculture and SMART Agriculture – GAP.
2. Processing, Value Addition, Research & Development
- Processing raw grain into finished products.
- Hatching of eggs into chicks.
- Technology in water harvesting, drip irrigation and solar energy.
- Use of ICT in promoting communication, marketing, research, knowledge co-creation.
- Research & Development in collaboration with Universities and Research Centre (GZU, MHRC, MSU).
- Co-creation of knowledge through presentations and lectures to universities.
